Education

The education system of the region includes 102 educational establishments. They include 40 facilities of general education (26 secondary schools, 11 basic schools, two gymnasiums, an evening school); 35 preschool facilities of the education department and ten educational establishments subordinate to the Belaruskali Production Amalgamation; five facilities for out-of-class activities, two children’s sports schools of Olympic reserve; a center of correctional education and rehabilitation, the regional socio-pedagogical center; an extramural educational and production facility; five institutions providing secondary special and vocational education; a sanatorium facility for children with chronic nonspecific respiratory illnesses; a subsidiary of Belarusian National Technical University.
